In this blog I hope to track my adventures in fitness, food justice, gardening and body acceptance. I will do so with a critical eye--examining how anti-fat bias, economics, class, sexism, urban (suburban and rural) development deprives us of satisfying movement, and how health is collective and personal.
The proof will be in the action. Essence Magazine has show more body diversity for many years. Each issue contains a fashion section dressing 10-12, 14-16, 20 +.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I fell that showing ethnic diveristy is also an issue that was only brought up in the last breath of this converations.
Also, since the Glamour Editor as well as many fashion editors are on the smaller size maybe she is out of touch about the wide range of body types out of there.
