As part of the aspiring "professional left" I gotta say: "Gibs, without us, you don't have a base." Stop pandering to the Right--they will never play with you or support you or agree with you. They are the party of no and we are the party of accountability--and yes, that includes my criticism of the Obama administration's failure to achieve universal healthcare when we had our moment, so I fight on for that goal and about a 1,000 other progressive social policies and rights. This is our job--making Obama do his job and do it within the spirit in which he was elected. The spirit of progressivism, of liberalism.
